A 4.5"x10" Big Blue cartridge with nitrate-selective resin that reduces nitrates - a common concern in agricultural areas and shallow wells. When it nears capacity you can recharge the resin with ordinary table salt, extending its useful life.

Compatibility

How do I recharge it?
When nitrate reduction drops off, recharge the resin with a table-salt brine, then rinse - similar to regenerating a water softener.
Why filter nitrates?
Nitrates are common near farmland and in shallow wells and are a health concern, especially for infants. This cartridge reduces them.
