Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my Clearsource system?
Yes. Clearsource systems use standard 2.5″ × 10″ cartridges, so this drops straight into the carbon-block stage of a Clearsource Premier or Ultra housing.
Is this the same as the Pentair F1PB?
It’s a direct replacement with improved flow. Our media is a modified carbon block that delivers about 50% better flow and 2× the chlorine/odor capacity of the legacy F1PB block.
How often should I replace it?
Every 6-12 months, or up to 5,000 gallons - whichever comes first.
Does it remove lead and cysts?
Yes - lead up to 2,000 gallons and 99.95% of cryptosporidium & giardia cysts.
