About This Product
This is a 1 micron disposable sediment filter, which means that it will "nominally" filter objects in the water that are 1 micron or more.
A micron is 1 millionth of a meter or 1 thousanth of a millimeter. Nominally means that 1 micron is a nominal value, and the filter may remove objects smaller or let objects larger than 1 micron through
Sediment filters should be the first filter that the water comes in contact with in a multi-filter system so that it can remove sediment from the water before getting to the more expensive carbon filters or resin filters.
