Compatibility
This is a standard 10″×2.5″ cartridge, so it drops into virtually any standard RV or under-sink canister housing. It serves as the scale-inhibitor / carbon stage in RVWFS Essential, ELITE, and Top-Tier systems, and works in any standard canister.

Is this a water softener?
No - it is a scale inhibitor. It reduces scale buildup without adding salt or removing hardness minerals, which is ideal for protecting a water heater.
Does it also filter chlorine?
Yes - the 0.5 micron carbon block exterior reduces chlorine, taste, and odor while the phosphate handles scale.
